The second will drive through the intersection:
Answer options
Explanation
The green car.
The yellow diamond together with the supplementary plate beneath it says the priority road does not continue straight through this junction: the priority road comes from the green car's road and turns to its right — into the very road from which the blue car is arriving. So the green car and the blue car are both on the priority road, and the red car, coming from the horizontal road on the left, is on the minor road.
When several vehicles are all on the priority road, the sign no longer arbitrates between them and they must apply the right-hand rule among themselves. The blue car enters the junction from the green car's right, so blue goes first and green second. The red car, being on the minor road, moves after both; the green car's left indicator changes nothing, because what decides is the road you are on, not the direction you want to go.
That very structure is the main trap of the question: many people see only the yellow diamond and conclude "I am on the priority road, so I go first". Always read the supplementary plate beneath the diamond; the thick line on it shows the course of the priority road and establishes who is of your rank. Two drivers of equal rank resolve the difference by the right hand.
• The blue car is not second; because it is on that same priority road and comes from the green car's right, it is the first vehicle through the junction. • The red car comes from the minor road and must give way to both cars on the priority road; so it is last, not second.
