A U-turn at this intersection is
Answer options
Explanation
Allowed. The centre marking is a double solid line, which makes most candidates answer no straight away — but longitudinal markings are not drawn through an intersection and their effect ends before it; inside the intersection the manoeuvre is governed by the rules and signs, not by the marking that preceded it. No No-U-turn sign or anything else here closes the manoeuvre, so a U-turn at the intersection itself is permitted. Keep the absolute prohibition list in mind instead: pedestrian crossings, tunnels, bridges and the area under them, railway crossings, public transport stops, and anywhere visibility is under 100 m. Note too that permitted means the right to manoeuvre, not right of way.
